Sales Support Representative – Expos and Advertising

As the Sales Support Representative – Expos and Advertising, you will provide support in lead qualification for external sales efforts aimed at acquiring and retaining customers. This involves assessing leads and prospects across all sales channels and addressing customer inquiries, comments, and requests to enhance sales pipelines and revenue from expos and advertising sales.

 

To be successful, you should have:

  • 2 years of business-to-business (B2B) sales, customer service, or similar experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Exhibit solid telephone skills, self-motivation, and ability to multitask and pay attention to details while prioritizing tasks and completing them in a team-centric environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer) and basic understanding and use of standard project management and accounting software systems, databases, and web-based platforms. 
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10%.

 

Your responsibilities as the Sales Support Representative – Expos and Advertising will include: 

  • Develops thorough understanding and effectively communicates IFMA’s expos and advertising products.
  • Proficiently utilizes IFMA’s technology (CRM, MYS, ZoomInfo) to manage the sales pipeline.
  • Delivers excellent customer service, meeting departmental communication standards.
  • Initiates engagement with leads to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Follows sales process for effective lead management.
  • Conducts outbound calls to inform leads about expos and advertising opportunities, gathering relevant information.
  • Collaborates with Expos and Advertising Sales Manager to optimize lead generation and qualification.
  • Responds to sales/marketing engagements, providing information and guiding prospects through the sales process.
  • Communicates customer feedback to the sales team.
  • Assists in promoting and selling IFMA’s print and digital advertising products, exhibits, and sponsorships.
  • Assists in payment collection for product sales.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Expos and Advertising Sales Manager.
