Sales Director

As a detail-oriented and motivated Sales Director, you will create and drive sales strategies and plans and manage staff, including the Regional Sales Managers.

 

To thrive, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in business is preferred or related field.  
  • 8+ years of business experience in sales, distribution, or product management. 
  • Demonstrated track record of success in a combination of distribution/direct sales, OEM sales, or product management. 
  • Technical aptitude of electronic components preferred.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. 
  • Previous experience and understanding of SAP and Salesforce preferred. 
  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.  

 

Your responsibilities as the Sales Director include:

  • Develop and implement NAM sales and distribution strategies.
  • Develop and execute sales campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing Team.
  • Establish NAM Sales Targets, ensuring alignment with Group Management revenue and profit goals. 
  • Manage sales forecasting activities and set other performance goals accordingly.
  • Create and share monthly sales reports and analyses with management.
  • Contribute to the planning of price books with cross-functional team members.
  • Ensure appropriate agreements and contracts are in place with all direct customers.
  • Ensure NAM maintains close relationships with customers.
  • Review and manage opportunity pipeline in CRM.
  • Plan and attend industry tradeshows as needed.
  • Coordinate sales training, including NPIs, with cross-functional team members.
  • Oversee activities, travel, and expenses of Regional Sales Managers.
