Software Quality Engineer

Our client is the worldwide leader in EEG software. Their software is used in 97 of the top 100 neurology hospitals in the US and many others worldwide.

As the Software Quality Engineer of the Persyst Development Corporation, you will monitor, analyze and test software during product development and final release to ensure quality and compliance with required design specifications and standards.

To be successful, you should have:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another technical field (such as CIS or IT). MS preferred.
  • At least five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Windows desktop software.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing Windows desktop, Web Client/Server, and Mobile applications.
  • Experience in developing Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Procedures.
  • Knowledge of C++ and C# (Preferred)
  • Experience with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304 (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with FDA cGMP (Preferred)

Your key responsibilities as the Software Quality Engineer will include:

  • To devise and implement automation strategies for testing the Persyst software applications. In circumstances where automation is not feasible, you are responsible for executing manual testing as per established validation protocols.
  • Establishing and managing software and hardware environments within the Persyst test lab. This encompasses the creation, configuration, and upkeep of virtual and physical machines, ensuring their compatibility with diverse versions of Windows and EEG systems.
  • Collaborative work is a significant aspect of this role. You will work closely with our software developers, providing valuable input while reviewing product requirements, specifications, and design to ensure these align with quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Participate in formulating comprehensive test plans, combining your knowledge of our software and its applications to guarantee robust testing methodologies.
  • A key part of your role involves assisting our customer support team and actively engaging in our complaint management process. Your expertise will be crucial in determining solutions, improvements and preventing recurrence of identified issues.
